After 20 years in their beloved 1920s home, this family knew they had found their forever place—but their 1950s kitchen and cramped basement no longer met their needs. Rather than move, they chose to invest in a carefully designed addition that would allow them to stay for decades to come.
We expanded and transformed the home while honoring its historic charm. The new second-floor master suite offers a private retreat, while the main floor gains a spacious, modernized kitchen and functional mudroom. Below, a new rec room breathes new life into the basement, creating a welcoming space for relaxation and play.
Designed to complement the homeowners’ impressive mid-century modern furniture collection, the interiors are a seamless blend of old and new—timeless, livable, and distinctly personal.
This is not just an addition; it’s a reimagining of home.
